Now that Fall is here, I feel that this would be the perfect time to talk about a palette that has blown me away recently. The Lime Crime Venus palette has been on my wishlist for so long and I'm very happy to now share this little piece of heaven with you.
I purchased this palette some time ago during the Summer sale on Limecrime.com. The packaging itself is absolutely stunning. The artwork of the greek goddess Venus on the cover along with bright blue and gold accents just look so beautiful together. The palette is made of very sturdy thick cardboard with magnetic closure. Although this palette would be considered to be on the neutral side, the 8 eyeshadow shades were inspired by 90's grunge era (think Courtney Love) that include burnt orange and red shades which are not found in your ordinary "neutral" palette. The tones in the palette can be used so you can create a natural look but you can also use the more neutral shades to help moderate the dramatic ones. There's also a mirror at the top which makes this palette travel friendly.
Onto the shades and swatches. All swatches in the photos were done with a single swipe and no primer. I do apologize for my annoying fingerprints in the palette but I tried very hard not to swatch this palette before I took the photos. Pigmentation was very impressive with the shades being so rich and smooth. There was no struggle trying to get the shades to appear on my arm. They are full of color and glided right on. All I could say was "wow" with every swatch.
I'm so glad that I was able to snag this palette before it was gone during the sale. Along with the purchase of this palette came a free Leo Zodiac glitter which was a plus because I think Lime Crime glitters are so pretty. There are many looks to create with palette and I love the fact the shades are warm and Fall friendly.
